KATD PITTSBURG, CA 990 VERIFICATION

Very nice e-mail from Len Harris, Engineer verified my AND2 report. This station was heard on the 3rd February when conditions was very disturbed. Ther was no sign of the very dominate canadian CBW. Just a weak KATD with a top of the hour ID for KIQI 1010 witch they are simulcasting. Len informe me that KATD is in the process of building a new transmitter facility near San Fransisco witch should be completed by the end of the year. Curently they running 1000 watts non-directional due to vandalism at the transmitter site. The new facility will be 10 000 watts day and 5000 watts night, both directional.

Very nice e-mail from Keating Willcox verified my AND2 report on May 14th. WNSH was heard during the very good 10 minutes opening on Feb 2nd around 2200 UTC. In a second mail WNSH's engineer Greg say that WNSH was running a bit below 11 kilowatt when I heard them. They have licence to run 30 KW daytime but due to local interference to a local nearby private school they have to reduce power. Nighttime power change to 85 watts took place 10 minutes after this observation, at 5:15 pm (EST).

Money Talk 12-30 KSBN was heard with a fair signal on day on the AND2 expedition. Station Manager Brad Kemmer verified my report this evening with a nice e-mail. KSBN was Spokane's first radio station when they came on the air in 1921.

WASR WOLFEBORO, NH 1420 VERIFICATION

WASR was one of my best catches during AND2. The station poped up with a clear identification at 2200 UTC February 1st. This opening "came out of nothing" and last for only 10 minutes. Joe Collie, General Manager verified my report yesterday with a e-mail. He also attached WASR information profile and coverage map. Thank you Joe for one of my better NA verifications.

AND2 DX-EXPEDITION

From January 24th - February 3rd another DX-pedition took place at Andoya. GS, JA, TBV and my self had some nice days at this nice place for DX-ing. Conditions was not superb but some days was good. The evening/night conditions was dominated with stations from Brazil and La Plata. The mornings was good to North America and the afternoons was good to Alaska and Northen Provinces of Canada. On the evening of the February 1st the band suddenly open up for 10 minutes around 2200 UTC. Stations from the northeast states of US (MA/ME/NH) poped up on several frequencies ex.: WBIX 1060, WGAM 1250, WASR 1420 (Daytimer!) and WGIP 1540. A lot of nice station is heard and we have a lot of recordings to go trough!

CFWH WHITEHORSE, YT 570 VERIFICATION

NEW PROVINCE! CFWH was heard with a very good signal as late as 1615 UTC on January 28th 2008 AND2. (I will write more about this expedition later). Conditions was excelent towards Alaska and Yukon this afternoon! Janet Pacey, Senior Communication Officer, CBC North verified my report with a e-mail this evening. KDDZ ARVADA, CO 1690 VERIFICATION

KDDZ Radio Disney 1690 is also a common station. Tracy Wells, Station Manager sent a brief e-mail this evening verified my report.

WOOD GRAND RAPIDS, MI 1300 VERIFICATION

WOOD is one of the more common stations. Heard several times up north. But, it wasn't before I heard them during my "Mountain DX" here in southern Norway last September I sent them a report. E-mail from Don Missad received January 29th verified my report. He say in his mail that WOOD is running 20.5 KW into a 4 tower antenna system. Their main lobe is to the north.

North American QSL nr. 450! Thanks to Joseph Pollet, Director of Engineering verified my September 17th reception of WWL. They had a very good signal on my "mountain dx expedition". Joseph also attached a logo to the mail.

CHED EDMONTON, AB 630 VERIFICATION

What a suprise to find a e-mail from Tom Davies, Chief Engineer in my inbox today. I heard CHED with a good signal in October 2004 and finaly I got a QSL. Tom kindly attached a QSL-letter and a QSL-card to the mail.
