KDLR DEVILS LAKE, ND 1240 VERIFICATION
First QSL from the KONG14 reports in my inbox this evening. Very nice e-mail from Curt Teigen at KDLR Devils Lake, ND 1240. Curt informe me that KDLR has been on the air since January 1925! When they start up they didn't have any equipment to play music directly on the air so a women would play piano, accordeon and other music live on the air. They couldn't afford to buy a microfone the first years so they made one out of an old telephone! Curt have, as many from the mid-west states of the USA, many relatives in Norway.

KONG14 ended on Friday 13th. We had 8 great days in Kongsfjord. Conditions was sometimes exelent, weather was OK and the food super. (Thanks to our chef Bjarne). We also had a very tasty dinner at the local guest house one evening. Vik for very nice company! Time to start waiting the first QSL's in the innbox.
