Hi, I was born in Charles City! The past 43 years have however been spent near Lillestrøm. A friend of mine from high school sent me this:
Ole Forr, a 64-year-old radio enthusiast from Norway, shared this photo of his "radio container" where he and his friends try to pick up North American AM radio signals. On Jan. 4 at 5 p.m. our time, the conditions were "very strange" and the dominant signals were nowhere to be found. Instead, Ole heard "You're listening to Iowa Public Radio News..." coming from KRNI (1010 AM in Mason City) and KASI (1430 AM in Ames) nearly 4,000 miles away.
